Survival
weekend is a three-day activity that brings Erasmus students in Czech
Universities all together in the wild with bound fire and a lot of
alcohol. I know, it sounds meaningful, interesting, and extremely
exciting. But that is not why it’s called “Survival” weekend.

Day 41 [March 17] Music Festival in Prague
Music Festival was really
amazing. I found my favorite Czech singer! Well, okay, I admit. The ONLY
Czech singer that I know and like. His name is Xavier Baumaxa. Here is a link you can check it out. Perhaps you'll like it too! Xavier Baumaxa not only has a great voice, his is funny and spontaneous too.
However, the best part and most interesting+funny in the music festival
is the not-smiling people. It's so ironic that Melissa and I were
having so much fun and can't stop laughing while people around us had
shitty faces. Also, few people were dancing. Yet that will no longer be
the same when two crazy Taiwanese girl, FYI Melissa and I were in the
party. When we started to dance, people started to follow. So don't tell
me that we're not shining stars!

Day 31&32 [5th&6th of March] Rhica in Prague!
Rhica is a friend of mine from NTUST. We were once roommates yet since she seldom came back to sleep, it doesn't feel like that kind of close roommates. Still, it felt amazing to have her with us for almost four days. We chatted a lot and laugh a lot too. What's more, she taught us how to make a Japanese food called okonomiyaki. (大阪燒) It was delicious and totally easy to make. I'm so happy knowing another recipe so we can cook for others next time!
On the next day, we got up early and headed straight to CK ( Cesky Karlove )
We visited The State Castle of Český Krumlov, it was really beautiful, not to mention to see the view of CK from there. Amazing!

Day 30 [March 4th] Salsa, Spanish, Mandarin class
Today is the 30th day we're here as exchange students. Time flies. I really want to spend more time traveling and meet people as many as possible. Some say romance might jump out of nowhere. Who knows? I only get 5 months of life here. Going to cherish it and live as possible as I can.
Melissa and I volunteer to be the Mandarin teacher in ISC. Since I always dream to be a Mandarin teacher, it seems like a great chance for me. However, I really have no idea what to teach when I met a student called Jakub, who was an exchange student in Taiwan. Compares to what he said he knows, he is really good at Mandarin. Though he didn't mind much about the tone, his Mandarin sounded quite fine at most of the time. What else, he is really good at writing! That is really surprising since most of the foreign learners consider Chinese character extremely complicated and hard to remember.
Day 29 [March 3rd] Hradec Králové with Wendy
Today, we visit Wendy in Hradec Karlove. People around us often say that it is a night place to live in, but there is not much to see (for tourist), and unfortunately, they are right. Yet with Wendy, it made a the difference. Wendy was so nice, sweet, and warm. We chatted and laughed like we were in Taiwan. Finally we were together with each other.
Except the shopping part, the best thing I love there was to satisfied our empty, carving-for-love-heart by feeding the Coypu.
I know, who is the weird girl talking and trying to make an interaction with the Coypu?
All in all, it's a beautiful day there with Wendy :)

Day 22 Czech language class & Safe cook!
Today, we went to our first Czech
language class this morning. The professor is a old interesting guy who
talked a lot about linguistic of Czech, which is interesting for us
language leaner. However, we didn't learn much about how to speak Czech.
Overall, it's fun. Though we felt dizzy just within one hour. I guess
we haven't be in class for such a long time.
In the evening, I tried to heat the sweet potato soup yet totally
forgot it while using the computer. I burned it, OMG. There wasn't much
smoke but enough to get security guy to take a look. I was so so
terrified that it will end like the time I was in Taiwan -- the alarm
rang and everyone knows, etc. Luckily, it didn't happen such an
embarrassing thing. Amen to that.
I guess people have to learn from their experience. So I'll cook more and hopefully, won't burn more.
Good luck to me having 6 hours class tomorrow!
Good night dear.

Day 19 - Prague Castle, free tour
Prague castle is a little bit less than what we expected. Plus, the weather today isn't really nice. We almost froze and starved to death. But luckily we didn't.
I was talking to Kevin about the party myth I have. It is that people introduced each other, danced, chatted, and even make out. However, most of the people will be like strangers when they meet on the next day. Why so? So what is the point of partying? Dancing? Chatting? And how can you tell if someone is the person you want to keep in touch with while some not?
Also, I wondered why guys are trying to get kisses from girls in the party. Could that grant them joy? Or any happiness?
I guess the best way to find out is to party more! LOL
Day 18 - Graduation Dancing Ball
Today, we practically did nothing in the morning. Melissa hurt her knee last night in the party of Czech presentation. Therefore, we can't really be someplace cause it hurts all the time. But we manage to do the laundry, which was a big thing cause it's really troublesome to do it in the dorm. First off, you need a great sense of direction to accomplish it. Second, you have to go back and forth to the reception for many times. Third, you have to dry it!!! Can't believe it costs us 30kc without helping us drying the clothes.
While doing the laundry, I met two Russian guys who speak in Russian to me in the very beginning. I guess I have an "I speak Russian" look. They were nice and asked me for my Facebook. And as usual,

Day 2 - Now we are in Ostrava!!

Day 1-Prague! We are finally here!

Hannah
Gustik
Hannah
Gustik
Marek
Jakub
Martin
Ondra
Party (Y) XDD
CTU (Czech Technical University)
